Sand Art

I love to go to beaches, the sun is great there and the wind is comfortable. But there are times when i become boring after I've swum, eaten, and slept - this is when i start feeling like doing some "sand sculptures." It's hard to do with real sand since it's loose, and the materials in sand are often a mixture of many things; however, we can add in water to change its shape and it will harden as it dries. My arts on beaches have been restrained to two dimensional writings, like "I love Boracay (in the Philippines)" or "Gordon was here," and i can only think of building castles when i think in three dimension. So i went up to internet and found several more creative ideas. Although some of them were probably built not only with sand, there is an unique topic within each of the photos i found.
In these photos i saw artists (or random people) combining sand arts with lights, it creates a romantic atmosphere, and it lighted the entire piece. It is the best to see it during sunset. I also saw many "sexy" themes with mermaids or sexy women lying on the sand with their bikinis on (suppose those are guys' works). There are cool patterns with organic shapes, simple but impressive.
Characters from cartoons and cute animals often become sand art's topics, because they are easier to portray, and people can recognize them easier.
Why not add some new ideas and stop just writing words on beaches? This might be a great deal of fun to everyone!
